Eiki Okuda
Born in Tokyo, 1985. Completed a graduate course in painting at Tokyo University of the Arts, majoring in oil paintings. Uses old television games as a theme to create expressions in 2D while creating interactive game cassettes that work on Family Computer devices, getting involved in all of the creation process from planning, programming, soldering and packaging. In the bleak “Sad Games” series, Kutsuwa attempted a new expression in the world of games by eliminating and deviating from the traditional structure of a successful game, including their playfulness and rules. Kutsuwa continues to experiment with new media art expressions of a Family Computer within its data capacity.
