Originally from Gifu, Japan, Ichitaro Suzuki is a Nagoya based artist. 
 He creates his sculptures by assembling cedar wood pieces that are separately painted with acrylic paint. 
 Through his three-dimensional mass work with pixelated surface, he explores our perceptual gaps between realistic and virtual world of contemporary society. 
 Suzuki is the recipient of Grand Prize of Tokyo Midtown Award 2013 art competition. 
 2014 Artist-in-Residence at University of Hawai'i, as well as 2016 Artist-in-Residence at the Museum of Fine Arts, Gifu, where he exhibited AR (augmented reality)/VR (virtual reality) work. 
 He has exhibited his work atMuseum of Fine Arts,GIFU, where he cooperated with the “Nanyaro-ne” exhibition project. he was invited as a speaker at TEDxAnjo. Suzuki received his BFA and MFA from Aichi University of the Arts and Music in 2014.
